Super Bowl 50 was a banner event for the city of San Francisco and for the entire Bay Area.  Curtin Convention was honored to partner with the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee to serve as the Official Labor Contractor for the production and implementation of Super Bowl City Presented by Verizon.

Super Bowl City was the Host Committee’s week-long public fan village designed to celebrate Super Bowl 50, and to highlight the San Francisco Bay Area.  More than one million people visited Super Bowl City, located in Justin Herman Plaza at the foot of the famous Market Street, to celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event, enjoying interactive games and activities, live broadcasts, concerts, food and drink, and more.

The City Stage presented by Levi’s played host to 64 free performances by local performers and Grammy-winning headliners, including Alicia Keys, OneRepublic, Chris Isaak, and The Band Perry.

The Fan Energy Zone powered by SAP showcased the Bay Area’s leadership in technology, and showcased the latest in interactive gaming, social media, and data visualizations.

Curtin worked in conjunction with the production company, the Host Committee, and agents from four unions and their members to orchestrate the build of this massive, unique, and multi-faceted outdoor festival.

Curtin’s management and coordination of all union labor forces was vital to the success of the build’s execution, and our experience and relationships with San Francisco based unions ensured the completion of the production build was realized on time, on budget, and in the most efficient and the safest way possible.

As the original native San Francisco convention and trade show contractor, the entire Curtin team is most proud to have delivered a stellar, flawless, and unique event in our headquarters city.
